JAGUAR E TYPE – Britain 1969

From the box build started in quarantine during April 2021. Painted with Halfords Hyundai Electric Red’. Very nice kit and an enjoyable build. Construction was from the box but with the sequence of sub assemblies changed to make painting easier. Wheels were added later in the build than recommended and the windscreen added last but for the wipers. Canopy glue used for the glazing. No seat belts were added as these were not fitted in the 60’s.
Having noted that the chrome plate impervious to enamel thinners, the ‘wire wheels’ were given a wash in thin black enamel and when very nearly dry, given a polish. They came out very well with a good 3d effect.
I’m looking forward to the cabriolet version coming out for the summer.

From the box build started in quarantine during August 2020 and finished during 2nd lockdown in 2021. Painted with Halfords’ ‘Land Rover Epsom Green’ and a white roof. Very nice kit and an enjoyable build.
