I’m Back. After my enforced isolation due to COVID, I was able to attend this months opening meeting.

As always some intriguing builds and modelling choices on the tables.

Plenty of WIPS, some kit bashing as well.

Plenty of ideas for our Group Build – Airfix Classic Series.

Some of these have already been started, and looking good as well.

We were given a slide show presentation from Colin W about several museums he visited on the East Coast of Australia back in 2016.

These were the Australian Army Flying Museum & a private collection at the Caboolture Airfield outside Brisbane

Then the RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre, South of Brisbane, then a quick trip back up the M1 to the Sunshine Coast and a visit to the Queensland Air Museum.

Some great examples of Australian aviation, including the ubiquitous flying Doctor and plenty of American & Asian aircraft as well.

One of the museums had a great deal of British armour from the end of WWII through the 60s and 70s.
