As the nights draw in Summer says goodbye until next year, but we modellers do our best work over the winter months, those dark wet days see us returning to our modelling dens,to wait out the coming winter chill, a sort of hibernation you might say.

Our latest club night had the usual display of finished and WIP models, plus we had a special event laid on by Ray, more on that later.
Latest purchases came in all sorts of genres…

Those models making their way to the finish line have many varied themes..

Finished models looking good, will some of these be making their way up to Telford this year?

Sibo & Nick went off to Belgium for a weekend together whilst there they popped into the IPMS Belgium model show “Plastic & Steel 2019”, and left some of their models on the competition area.

Nick walked away with Bronze for his Fairey Barracuda:

Sibo got Silver for his “Stral” in the Science Fiction & Fantasy section:

The evening was rounded off by Ray who gave us a talk on his decommissioned Enfield Short Rifle. Designed for the cavalry in WWI, this was a fine example of such a weapon and it had a fascinating history as well, first appearing at the Battle of Mons:

Another great evening was had by all.
Next meeting will be our AGM on 5th Nov
