My Spitfire will be converted to a clipped wing LFIXe as operated by 318 Sqn in Italy 1944-1945. This squadron is close to my heart as I was a member of 318 (Sale) Squadron ATC as a teenager.
I intend to super-detail both the cockpit and engine compartment using both AM parts and scratchbuilt details whilst still finishing the build in time! Lets see if it’s possible…
My long term plan after this model is to also build a 1/32 Bf109 G10 in a captured scheme. The link between the models is that 318 Sqn bought this aircraft for a bottle of whiskey and painted their codes ‘LW’ on the fuselage.
